After starting her own business, one local woman created an open forum for other entrepreneurs in Greater Cincinnati. Read on for more about the growing group and how you can join in.
Since launching her business Fancy Fedora in July 2015, Stephanie Ryan has met a plethora of other local business owners and entrepreneurs.
After meeting these business owners, she found that there was a need for a space where everyone could get together and discuss challenges and other aspects of owning your own business. That’s when she was inspired to launch Cincy Social Entrepreneurs, where business owners and entrepreneurs could get together to discuss where to start forming your LLC or how to get a product listed on Amazon.
“As a business professional, I sought to create an open forum for local Cincinnati Entrepreneurs – a place to share our journeys, create monthly meetups and collaborate collectively to grow our Cincinnati market,” says Ryan
Some of those topics covered in the forms include listing local shows that business owners can participate in as vendors, retail opportunities in the city, There are also forums on local programs that provide free legal advice and local organizations that provide classes that business owners can attend to learn more about financials.
While Cincy Social Entrepreneurs is just getting its feet off the ground, Ryan says that she’s already planning meetups and other ideas for the group. When asked where she plans to host forums, she’s thinking local coffee shops or hosting dinners and luncheons in monthly meetups to share stories and learn from each other.
