    In this week’s Boutique Issue, we chat with the owners behind' Couture, a women’s fashion boutique on Woodburn Ave. that features unique and high-end finds for local fashionistas.


    “I am a woman of many things.” According to Dee’ Pompey, that’s the meaning behind’ Couture, the store she, Pennia Goldston and Marc Payton opened together.

    “We love bringing couture, one-of-a-kind designers or limited edition designs to’ Couture,” says Pompey. “We love designers that are classy, sexy and edgy. We live for women to find the ‘’’ in them.”

    Pompey says the inspiration behind’ comes from the grace and confidence a woman exudes knowing that she’s the best dressed and all around best that she can be. The trio behind the business has a history that dates back more than a decade – to 2004. That’s when the team at’ started designing unique couture clothes together. However, it wasn’t until 2011 that Pompey says the boutique opened.

    The limited designs at’ Couture will suit just about any budget, with its limited designs priced between $40 and $400. “Of course, when you purchase from’ it’s all about originality,” Pompey adds. “’ Couture boutique is filled with funky accessories and stylish, edgy, contemporary clothing, jewelry and accessories, or every thing you needed to dress for a classy Oprah to a night on the town.”060815FEATURE2

    All of the items at’ Couture boutique are truly couture pieces, Pompey says. “They are designed for the woman who wants to be classy, sexy and edgy – helping you to become the ‘woman of many things,’” she adds.

    Additionally, Pompey says, the one-of-a-kind handmade items in the store are some of the best pieces that local fashionistas can get their hands on in the region.’ Couture is located at 2804 Woodburn Avenue in Cincinnati’s East Walnut Hills neighborhood.
