A little wine, a little painting and a lot of fun. That's the motto for one local art and wine boutique business.

Located on Comargo Road in Madeira, Cheers to Art first opened its doors for business in November 2010. "Cincinnati, although somewhat conservative, also has a unique trendiness to it and we knew this concept would work well here," says co-founder Michael Carroll, who opened Cheers to Art with his wife Jill after seeing a similar boutique out west.

Cheers to Art offers equal amounts of party and painting all rolled into one package. Come alone or bring a friend or two to experience the unique atmosphere. "It's a mix of people all spending a couple of hours painting, laughing, and listening to great music," says Carroll. Beer and wine are available to quests, along with small snacks.

If you're a little antsy about putting your art skills on display, put your fears at rest. Even if you have trouble drawing a stick figure you are able to follow the step-by-step instructions at Cheers to Art. "Absolutely no experience is necessary to have a great time," assures Carroll. All painting supplies will be provided so all guests need to worry about is having a great time, although wearing an older set of clothes is recommended as to prevent any damage from the paints.

Along with regular sessions held Wednesday through Saturday evenings, Cheers to Art also takes private reservations for parties and corporate events outside of regular hours. The studio also holds their own events Ladies nights are held once a month as well as events for couples, singles and two or three fundraisers monthly where a portion of proceeds goes to a good cause.

June is a promising month for the boutique, as they will be holding a special interactive session for the new "Cat Canyon" exhibit at the Cincinnati zoo, where zoo guests will have the opportunity to paint with the staff of Cheers to Art. Cincy Chic will be hosting our very own event at the Cheers to Art studio on Friday, June 15 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The price is $35 which will include a pre-stretched canvas and instructions to painting one of Cincinnati's most beloved landmarks to benefit Cincinnati Museum Center's Renovation fund.

to learn more about Cheers to Art, its upcoming events or to make a reservation at one of their sessions. Regular sessions are held Wednesday through Saturday evenings at 7 p.m. Reservations are required due to a limited studio capacity of 50 people.
