Learn about a local business that’s helping you create beautiful and unique home decor while enjoying time with friends and family.

The Evergreen Designs offers sign parties that allow guests to create their own unique home decor pieces.

Cincy Chic: What is The Evergreen Designs?
Brittany Kauffman, Founder of The Evergreen Designs: We specialize in wood sign painting parties. They are perfect for any age and especially for people who claim they aren’t artistic at all. Our fool-proof stencil makes it so easy! We also specialize in building custom furniture pieces.

Cincy Chic: What’s the inspiration behind the business?
Kauffman: There’s something really satisfying about starting with a blank piece of wood, some tools and making something beautiful. My favorite part of every party is when my guests are excited about something that THEY made. I really try to encourage them to step out of their comfort zone by maybe trying a new color or by using the nail gun. A lot of times this is the first time many of them have ever held a power tool. It’s really a great feeling.

Cincy Chic: Who’s behind it?
Kauffman: We are a husband & wife team. My husband Ryan builds all of the signs & furniture. I have an idea and he brings it to life.  I do all the designing for our stencils and instruct the parties. We also have a small team of amazing girls who instruct our parties for us whenever we need help.

Cincy Chic: How much does it cost to attend or host a party?
Kauffman: Prices range from $40-$65 depending on sign choice. There is a $20 booking fee for mobile parties and no booking fee in our shop. Plus, guests receive 10% off all store items when their party is hosted in the store.

Cincy Chic: What makes The Evergreen Designs unique?
Kauffman: I think what makes us unique is that we do it all. We don’t outsource any of our work and are involved in every single party. We really like to build a relationship with our customer and we’ve actually made a lot of friends along the way.

Cincy Chic: Is there anything new on the horizon for your business?
Kauffman: Yes! We are so excited to be partnering with another local small business mom Emily Little from Queen City Alchemy. We will be opening our first boutique and workshop at the end of May at 1808 Race St in Over-the-Rhine.

Cincy Chic: Where can readers go to learn more, book a party, or follow along?
Kauffman: Visit You can also follow along on Facebook and Instagram.
