Every morning before I jump in a lukewarm shower, I grab Origins Checks and Balances frothy face wash for a cool burst of bergamot, spearmint and lavender. Not only does the cleanser leave me feeling refreshed, but the natural product’s lack of harsh chemicals leaves me (and my skin) at utter ease.
Beyond the Checks and Balances, products like Drink Up Intensive overnight mask and Dr. Weil for Origins Mega-Mushroom Skin-Calming Face Mask are composed of natural ingredients that reverse my skin from dry and sensitive to soft and luscious. And as they make me feel ready for the week ahead, I also help save the planet by supporting their causes.
As "a company powered by nature, proven by science," Origins offers all the fabulous products a skincare company should, but unlike competing corporations, Origins uses earth-friendly practices that’ll keep you eco-chic. In addition to their everyday practices, Origins has two important programs to Mother Nature happy and healthy.
Plant a Tree Campaign
Working in partnership with American Forests’ Global ReLeaf, Origins has aided in planting more than 93,000 trees globally. As an incentive to trying the new Plantscription Anti-aging serum, Origins and Global ReLeaf will plant a tree for every customer who purchases the product from April 17 to 30.
As this falls during Earth week, it is essential to remember the importance a tree makes in the environment. For eco-friendly tree facts, check out "What 1 Tree Can Do" on Origins’ Web site.
Trade in Program
Further working to promote an eco-friendly lifestyle, Origins has specially designed a trade in program, giving you the opportunity to recycle your old cleansers and rejuvenate with a new one! In honor of Earth Day, stop by the Origins store located in Rookwood Commons or the Origins counter in the Kenwood Towne Centre Macy’s for your free Checks and Balances frothy face wash or A Perfect World antioxidant cleanser. By trading in any brand cleanser Origins will recycle the product, contributing to the conversion of energy.
Origins Recycling Program
Just like the Plant a Tree Campaign, Origins started a unique recycling initiative in 2009, allowing their customers to get rid of their empty cosmetic packages. While many may be unaware, such products are often not recycled, but Origins makes an extra effort to efficiently convert bottles, tubes, jars and compacts into sustainable energy. And don’t think Origins would leave you empty-handed, you will receive a free sample in return for your eco-friendly work.
