The talented professionals behind CoCo Creative Wellness |
A collaboration of 12 passionate and talented hair, makeup, skin and body professionals make up the one and only CoCo Creative Wellness. “We are a Wella/Sebastian (P&G) Salon and use only natural skin care, Arbonne and the highest quality products,” says co-owner Lisa Herman.
CoCo Creative Wellness is the brainchild of mother Lisa Herman and daughter Colleen Herman. Lisa has been a hair designer for 39 years and a previous co-owner of Salon Urbanity for 22 years. Colleen decided to return home from her five-year worldwide travel with Cirque du Soleil as a wig and makeup artist to continue her career as an entrepreneur in Cincinnati. After all, her roots are based in the Tri-State as a graduate of The College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.

CoCo Creative Wellness is located where the Jackson Theater once stood |
The business launched in July 2013 and is located in Cincinnati’s historic Columbia Tusculum. The building was the original location of the Jackson Theater, which happens to be one of the oldest theaters in Cincinnati. The address is 4021 Eastern Avenue.
“CoCo Creative Wellness services reflect our name in a profound way,” explains Herman. “The wellness area offers every service from eyelash extensions to facials, waxing, skin care and all types of massage and healing touch, Reiki. Our licensed professionals are offering the newest healing services daily.”
Herman says their hair designers offer every aspect of hairdressing with a strong commitment to the latest techniques in cutting, coloring, styling and hair extensions. “We are adept at handling large wedding parties and are open to doing hair and makeup at your location and especially enjoy special events.” Herman says. “The creativity of the staff is proven every day and is even reflected in our participation in The Carnegie’s event in January titled ‘The Art of Hair.'”
What makes CoCo Creative Wellness unique? “We have an attitude of complete customer service with an emphasis on beauty from the inside out,” explains Herman. “If we achieve in making our clients feel good about their whole experience they are not just outwardly beautiful, they truly feel pampered and cared for from the inside out.”
In addition, the business is very involved in the community and has made themselves available to participate in events such as the recent ‘A Kid Again’ Fundraiser at Northern Kentucky University. “Also, Colleen regularly hosts Global Meditations at the salon with some of the city’s most renowned speakers,” says Herman. “Our latest project on the horizon is to expand to have more room for group customer meetings such as possible yoga classes, wedding parties and all aspects of healing therapy.” For more information, visit cococreativewellness.com or their Facebook page.
