Dr. Jennifer Ridge launched the Middletown-based business in 1994, and in 2001 she added the Skin Care Salon. “We offer traditional and innovative treatments for skin, hair and nails in adults and children,” says Ridge. “But we specialize in the care of all skin diseases, ‘Mohs’ micrographic skin cancer surgery, general skin surgery and cosmetic surgery.”

The center is unique, Ridge says, because they offer such a wide range of services, for a wide range of clients. “We are able to offer an integrated approach to skin care with medical treatments, salon treatments and procedures like Botox, fillers, radiofrequency and lasers and facial liposuction,” she adds.

Cancer Care
“Mohs” surgery remains the gold standard, state-of-the-art surgical procedure for removal of the most common types of skin cancer-basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, according to Ridge. “It is reserved for the removal of those cancers in vital areas,” she explains. “Delicate plastic repair follows the excision to offer the best cosmetic outcome. Other modes of surgery are offered for other types of skin cancers, and skin cancers in non-vital areas.”
