Have lots of skincare products, makeup, and brushes but unsure what to do with it all? The sister team, Andrea and Ashley Lauren, behind Alba Organic Beauty Studio and Cincy Organic Stylebar launched a new venture called “Makeovers & Margaritas” to do just that.

As makeup artists for everything from weddings to Hollywood movies, the Lauren sisters receive beauty questions daily. “We also believe that every woman deserves to look and feel like a celebrity,” says Andrea. “From that belief, the affordable ‘Makeovers & Margaritas’ was born.”

Recently launching with a soft opening the second week of May, the classes have received favorable feedback, according to Andrea. The full schedule of classes/parties opens to the public the first week in June.

“When attending a class, clients will experience a relaxed, fun, girls-night-out party atmosphere while learning makeup, hairstyling, and fashion tips and tricks,” says Andrea. “Makeovers & Margaritas will eliminate any fears women may have about being their own makeup, hair or fashion stylist.”

Best of all, each class is designed to be a party before the party. “Clients will be ready to hit the town afterwards to show off their new look,” says Andrea. “Topping it all off, each attendee will have the opportunity to pose for a photo session. The photo mementos serve as a special take-home treat.”

The Makeovers & Margaritas classes are perfect for private groups and corporate events, Andrea says. “We also offer Kid’s Face Painting classes that are designed to encourage youngsters to explore their creative nature,” she adds.

Price points start at $35 per person for a two hour class/party, Kid’s Face Painting Classes are $25 per child for an hour and a half class/party. “We can accommodate groups of 15 people and our private studio holds 8 to 12 students/party goers,” says Andrea.

In an effort to be a positive force in the community, Makeovers & Margaritas committed to providing at least one gratis workshop a month, Andrea says. “Gratis Glam Workshops are planned for women experiencing a challenging phase in their life, such as surviving chemotherapy, rebuilding an independent life after domestic abuse and the underemployed striving to elevate their employment status,” she says. “Our fun, instructional organic makeup, skincare and style workshops are designed to be empowering and confidence building. It is our hope that these workshops will be the first step to a new life for each attendee.”
