You can look like a million bucks without spending it. That’s the idea that inspired Sylvia Brownlee to open Pure Beauty Bar. “Beauty and fashion is something I’ve always been passionate about and I want to help others figure out how to make their look work for them so they can be ready to kill the day,” she says.
Pure Beauty Bar was founded in 2014. It’s a full-service bar located in the heart of Cincinnati’s Pleasant Ridge neighborhood. “We offer luxe but affordable beauty services to a diverse clientele to help bring out your inner beauty while enhancing your outer beauty,” says Brownlee.
Brownlee brings more than 16 years of experience in the beauty industry with experience in operations, education, administration and management. “From personal to business, beauty is my life,” she says.
Services at Pure Beauty Bar include facials, waxing, eyelash extensions and makeup applications for day chic, special occasions or photoshoots. At the salon you’ll also find that they’re an exclusive distributor of Hair Addict, a line of Cambodian and Indian hair extensions that were inspired by Brownlee’s daughter, Jazz.
“My daughter would always complain about the hair she purchased — the shedding, the tangling or just the bad quality,” says Brownlee. “Every month she was ordering new hair and changing hairstyles, so I told her she’s addicted. And there it was, an extension of Pure Beauty Bar.”
The Hair Addict line has collections that will fit every woman’s tastes. There are straight, wavy and curly extensions, which can be used for weaving or custom wigs. “The hair can also be dyed or used for any style, with lengths ranging from 12 inches to 30 inches,” says Brownlee. “The extensions have pristine and sturdy wefting and is soft to the touch – qualities of a product you can enjoy for installment after installment with the proper maintenance and care.”
In addition to its Hair Addict collections, Pure Beauty Bar is known for its Brazilian wax, eyebrow waxing and chemical peels. A Brazilian wax is $45, eyebrow waxing is $15 and a makeup makeover with lashes is $45.
Brownlee says Pure Beauty Bar offers waxing parties so that you can grab your girlfriends for a fun, exciting night (while enjoying a bottle of wine, or two!).
Brownlee says to keep your eyes peeled for Mommy Makeovers, which will soon be making their debut at Pure Beauty Bar.
