Hair can make or break your mood. A great hair day can make a blah day better and a bad hair day can ruin even the happiest hours. Until recently, however, salon-worthy hair was limited to those with an appointment or deep pockets, as an a la carte salon wash and blow-dry runs in the $65 to $80 range.

That is until places like The Blowdry Bar and Salon entered the local market, offering fabulous, luxury blowouts for only $35. 

Co-Owners Liz Hindman Doriott and Cheryl Kidwell came up with the idea to open a blow dry bar while at lunch one afternoon. Kidwell suggested her salon dos and don’ts while Doriott had the idea to create a place for the perfect blowout. That’s when The Blowdry Bar and Salon’s vision began.

They worked for months to create the best of both worlds for a one-stop-spot with a salon, spa and a blowout bar. The goal was to have a place that customers could receive a fabulous blowout, and a salon and spa for the rest of their haircut or hair color needs, as well as a relaxing massage or facial. With the perfect community-centered location, they added their own personal touches.

You’ll enjoy being pampered by their expert team of stylists while sipping champagne and catching one of your favorite chick flicks on their flat screen TVs. “When you see our menu for our Blowdry Bar, all of our hairstyles are named after cocktails,” says Kidwell. “We are the perfect location for your bridal and bachelorette party, sweet sixteen or ladies night out.”

“A unique feature is our clients can book from our website or our Facebook page,” explains Kidwell. “We have a full service salon where we can provide all of your haircut, color and highlights, facials, waxing, massage & make up.”
