Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything checked off your to-do list. That’s where Michelle Colbert and her business Assistise, LLC can help.
“Assistise is a personal assistance/concierge businesses,” explains Colbert. “Assisting is my expertise. Assistise helps simplify people’s lives so that they may enjoy their life!”
Colbert was inspired to establish a business like Assistise after finding that many of her colleagues and coworkers, no matter what industry they were working in, were exhausted.
“They needed help making ends meet,” she says. “The initial struggles that I noticed were staying on task, setting their calendar and juggling work life with family life. The everyday mundane tasks were being neglected.”
To help her colleagues complete those tasks, Colbert began offering her assistance on the weekends and when she had days off. “The need became so great that I decided to go all in,” she says.
And the need for personal assistants didn’t go away when Colbert made the move back to the Queen City from Santa Monica, California. “It was at that point that I decided that personal assistants were not just needed in Los Angeles and New York, but they were needed here as well,” she says.
The services provided by Assistise include picking up groceries, shopping and various errands. You can also have Assistise provide you with household organization such as closets, cabinets and pantry, purging closets and household items, moving services such as packing and unpacking, moving supply pickup and delivery and research and sourcing. When asked what it is that makes Assistise unique, Colbert says that it’s how they cater their services to the needs of the client. “One client may need errands, another may need companionship and one may need help packing for holiday travel,” she says. “I offer personal interaction and an energetic approach that my clients enjoy. I help them stay on task and I hold them accountable.”
Colbert says that her clients like the confidentiality that her service provides. “The list of services on my website are simply a starting point,” she says. “If a client has a special request I encourage them to ask and I will probably be able to accommodate them.”
Colbert says that growth continues for Assistise, especially through word of mouth referrals. To help with growth, she says that she’s planning to offer additional services that she’s seen a need for in 2016.
Colbert adds that she’s always looking to build partnerships with complementary businesses.
