A national initiative is making a stop in Cincinnati to inform female business owners about federal contracting and procurement. Read on for more.
On Friday, Oct. 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the ChallengeHER event will take place at the Cincinnati Metro Housing Authority’s Cincinnati Contemporary Learning Center. The Ohio River Valley Women’s Business Council is the local sponsor for the ChallengeHER event, helping to bring the powerful program to Cincinnati.
ChallengeHER is an initiative from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Women Impacting Public Policy and American Express OPEN. The events, which are held all across the country, aim to help women business owners understand the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Federal Procurement Program, the federal procurement process and to connect you with the right people to help you succeed.
The event will feature special guest the Honorable Steve Chabot, U.S. House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Small Business Committee, who will provide additional information on the federal contracting industry and how you can secure federal contracts.
ChallengeHER also offers a webinar on the Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contract Program to help you better understand the program before attending the ChallengeHER event in Cincinnati.
Although admission is free, seating is limited. Click here to reserve your spot! The Cincinnati Metro Housing Authority is located at 1635 Western Avenue in Cincinnati. Light refreshments will be provided during the event.
