Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother. ~Oprah Winfrey
Happy belated Mother’s Day to all you moms out there. I was still in a fog from the Pig last week, so forgive me! 🙂
This weekend, my parents came in from Crossville Tenn. – where they’re building their dream home – to spend Mother’s Day weekend with us. And as always, we made it quite the productive weekend. We went to the Madison Ave. Bridal shop and the owner, Ani Cole, had the perfect dress in the perfect size with the perfect veil all laid out (I had seen it in the window driving by). I tried it all on and I loved it! No alterations, no color changes, no fabric switches. I’m going to wear the very first and only wedding dress I ever tried on to my wedding – can you believe it?! I would post pictures on here, but I never know if my fiance reads this blog, so I better not!
We went to Olive Garden for dinner and then back to my brother and his new wife’s house for an after dinner drink. They just re-did several rooms in their house and it looks FAB! They did a faux finish in two rooms and their kitchen – which used to be tile from the floor, walls and ceiling – was boxed in and drywalled. It, too, looks incredible! It seriously looks like a different house! It’s amazing what a woman can do for a house’s interior design! 🙂
Dino is getting big and is really loving this nice weather. We’re letting him out in the back yard without a leash – a big step for a dog that could break a world sprinting record! He’s such a good dog that we rewarded him with a bone that’s as big as his head! 🙂
