1.22.2008 – Quote of the Day – Cool eyewear

So, I went to my first Ad Club meeting today. Very cool, creative people there. I suggest being a member if you're in a PR/Marketing/Design/Media field. Today the speaker was the guy that spearheaded the City of Las Vegas' "What happens here, stays here" campaign. It was really neat to hear how they developed the edgy, but simple concept. 

What was even more neat for me was to look around at all the people in the crowd. All these creative people with cool clothes, unique hair styles and colors… and oh, the eyewear in that room was to die for. 

I've been noticing that – in the fashionista fetish world – eyewear is the new shoe. Lenscrafters are now all the sudden packed when I pass by them at a mall, and I'm starting to notice eyewear boutiques pop up in places like Hyde Park (eye1) and Fountain Square (Buten Eyewear).

So, I've decided that I need to invest in a pair of glasses. My eyesight isn't failing, but I have a fashion fever and the perscription is eyecatching eyewear!
