12.28.2007 – Quote of the Day – How-to: 1940s-inspired NYE glamour
I have two NYE themed quotes from from Bill Vaughn today:
Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up late on New Year’s Eve. Middle age is when you’re forced to.
An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.
I thought those were really funny and so true! I can’t believe Monday is the big day. Jan. 1 is Pete’s birthday and for the past two years, we’ve gone out of the country (Paris and Niagara Falls), but this year, we’re trying to save for the wedding and pay for the house/home improvements, so that’s not going to be happening!
What are you doing?
If you don’t have plans yet, may I suggest The Mansion’s Vintage Hollywood-themed NYE Event. And from one of my favorite blog sites, here’s a“How-To: 1940s-inspired New Year’s Eve Glamour”.
Here at Cincy Chic headquarters, we’re busy reviewing all the Woman of the Year applications. I can’t believe how many amazing, inspiring women live among us! Thanks to everyone that nominated and look for the Woman of the Year issue on Monday to see who won!
