Heart 2 Heart “Ladies Night In” Spa Event
Dear Cincy Chic Reader, I am a program director at the R.E. Lindner YMCA, a branch where many of the kids we serve are living in really difficult situations. Some come to us hungry and dirty, they havent even changed their clothes because their parents dont have the resources to provide such a basic necessity. Others may have been abused or simply lack positive adult influences outside of the Y. My staff and I have grown to love them. Words cant even say what a great feeling it is to see them thriving when theyre here. Im so thankful that the Y has a scholarship fund that allows these kids to participate in our programs and have a safe place to go. Last year the fund helped us serve more than 400 children and teens whose families wouldnt have been able to afford regular fees. Thats actually why Im writing. Im putting together a fund raiser to raise money for our fund and Im hoping youll be able to help me get the word out (for blogs, may want to change to youll want to support it Its really, really important to me that I can make it successful for the kids. Its going to be really fun. ). Im calling it Heart 2 Heart, a Ladies Night In. For a $35 donation, women who come will get a choice of indulgence a mini manicure; hair analysis with hand and arm massage; mineral make-over; paraffin hand wax treatment; chair massage. Extra indulgences that evening can be purchased for $5. Attendees will also receive a drink ticket and a chance at winning a door prize. Lucreta Bowman, who was featured on the Maury Povich Show, will talk about Making Your Dreams a Reality. All these people are donating their time to help us! I will always fight for my hundreds of kids and I will never provide them with anything less than what they deserve in this world. I hope youll want to come and tell your friends! Thank you!
