Xavier University Jazz Ensemble holds its 25^th Anniversary Reunion weekend! This is going to be a great show, celebrating 25 years of music, as well as the leadership of director John DeFoor. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Ryan’s Pub in the Gallagher Student Center at Xavier University. Want to see the world through younger eyes? Check out Cincinnati Short Docs, a series of short films made by nine teams of students from Clark Montessori High School about Cincinnati and the things that matter to them. Ever been to a real Jazz Jam? Whether you’ve never been exposed to Jazz or you’re a die-hard fan, this is worth checking out. Photos of a recent session can be viewed here. Saturday, get in shape with Kama Salsa’s new beginner’s salsa session at 11 a.m. at 1018 Delta in Mt. Lookout. $65 for six-week session, $15/individual class. Please wear comfy clothes and leather-soled shoes.
