Xavier University Jazz Ensemble holds its 25th Anniversary Reunion weekend! This is going to be a great show, celebrating 25 years of music, as well as the leadership of director John DeFoor. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Ryan’s Pub in the Gallagher Student Center at Xavier University. The show repeats 8:15 p.m. Sunday in Long Recital Hall at Xavier University. 3800 Victory Parkway, 45207.

Want to see the world through younger eyes? Check out Cincinnati Short Docs, a series of short films made by nine teams of students from Clark Montessori High School about Cincinnati and the things that matter to them. Ever been to a real Jazz Jam? Whether you’ve never been exposed to Jazz or you’re a die-hard fan, this is worth checking out. Photos of a recent session can be viewed here.
