Monday: Ever wonder what goes into designing buildings like The Ascent? At the Contemporary Art Museum, you can catch a glimpse into the mind of architect Daniel Libeskind, who designed The Ascent, the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco and the Denver Art Museum in Colorado, to name a few. Photos, conceptual drawings and three-dimensional structures will show some of the process in dreaming up such architectural feats. Tuesday: Learn about the genocide in Darfur from two survivors, Abu Asal and Ibrahim Adam. They will speak from 7-8 p.m. in Steigerwald Hall at Thomas More College. Free. Contact: patricia.dorobek@thomasmore.edu or 859-344-3683.


Wednesday: Like learning about other cultures? Check out STIR, an international happy hour which brings people from all over the city (and the world) together for free food, drink specials, and interesting conversation! Thursday: It’s almost the weekend, and that’s a reason to celebrate! The Edgecliff Private Residences are hosting a night of hot salsa dancing with lessons by KamaSalsa and Spanish tapas by SENY. 6-8 p.m.



Monday: New beginner’s Salsa session begins! This is a great way to get fit and have fun at the same time. 1018 Delta, Mt. Lookout. $65/six weeks or $15/class. Please wear comfortable clothes and leather-soled shoes.
