YouTube Fashion Phenom
The Internet has made possibilities endless for anyone with an over-active imagination and a video camera. William Sledd.
Sledd is a 24-year-old openly gay man from Paducah, Ky. whose claim to fame came from his “Ask a Gay Man” series on YouTube. The series is filmed in his bedroom – or sometimes on-location – and it focuses on fashion and hair trends.
“I just have to say that I am so thankful to every single person on YouTube,” Sledd said on his YouTube Web page. “You truly have changed my life in more ways than you can understand.”
According to Sledd’s Web site, his occupation is still in retail at the Gap while of course, he is an “Internet celebrity” which is appropriate, considering he is the 12th most subscribed v-logger (virtual blogger) of all time.
From fashion shows to fashion up dates and dos and don’ts, Sledd has covered it all. With more than 5,000 MySpace friends and 72 videos uploaded to YouTube, Sledd has definitely become an Internet icon. When you have role models like Sarah Jessica Parker, Christine Ebersole and Stacey London, you must have a passion for fashion.
So the next time you are in need of some helpful fashion advice go to YouTube and search “Ask a Gay Man.” Sledd is sure to satisfy your fashion craving and give you a few pointers as well.
