An upcoming event is featuring the women in charge of some innovative local businesses. Keep reading for all the details.
This fall, Morgan Owens, owner of Curvy Cardio, will be featured in a chic new workshop for female entrepreneurs in collaboration with the Cincinnati Herald. Babes in Bizness “originated to target women who aspire to become leaders and entrepreneurs by facilitating a road map to achieve their dreams,” says Owens.
Babes in Bizness is designed to be an innovative workshop series which includes a panel of local, successful entrepreneurs to coach guests in developing their own network within the community. Currently, Owens is designing a break out workshop focusing on social media for the event. According to Owens, much like herself, the tone of the event will be “fun and sassy.”
“This event is about gaining new skills, networking opportunities and gaining the confidence in yourself and your passions,” Owens says. Her hope is Babes in Bizness will inspire participants to believe their world is limitless and to be inspired by spending time with like minded women.
Owens knows a lot about being a female entrepreneur, as she’s been keeping women fashionably fit with Curvy Cardio since 2014, following her life-long battle with health and weight loss. Through Curvy Cardio, she offers isolated cardio workouts at North Avondale Recreation Center, while also designing and selling a fitness clothing and accessories line, “Fashionably Fit.”
Owens’ motto is “don’t be ashamed of your story because it will inspire others” so it’s not surprising that Babes in Bizness is shaping a platform for local female entrepreneurs to inspire the current and next generations by sharing their own stories of struggles and success.
“Babes in Bizness” is scheduled for Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 12-5pm at the Cincinnati Regional Chamber in downtown Cincinnati. Babes in Bizness is asking all babes attending to bring a donation for Dress for Success.
