Idlewild Woman
They say that behind every great man there’s a great woman. In this case, though, there’s a great women’s boutique soon to open, following the success of its menswear store counterpart.
Article Menswear, located at 12th and Vine in OTR, opened in September 2013. “The response was really positive,” says Anthony Graziani, who co-owns Article Culture Company LLC with his wife. “We felt strongly that men were searching for a better retail experience and set out to craft a store that could act as a refuge.”
According to Graziani, Article carries a style that is current, yet classic. “The focus is on quality,” he adds. In addition to clothing, they carry bags, grooming items, accessories, gifts, leather goods, watches, boots, periodicals and coffee.
With their newest store, Idlewild Woman, they hope that women can “find the same level of inspiration,” says Graziani, who plans for the new store to be an inspiring, creative and welcoming environment to empower your life, style, and home.
Idlewild Woman will be located at 1232 Vine St next door to Homage, about a half block up from Sloane Boutique and A Tavola.
According to Graziani, the concept is to be a modern-day women’s general store with a variety of merchandise ranging from premium denim to luxury towels. Brands at launch will include Imogene and Willie, Baldwin Denim, Steven Alan, Objects Without Meaning, Billy Reid, Gant Rugger, Ilana Kohn, Faherty Brand, Bridge and Burn, Almond, Mollusk, Another Feather, Tiro Tiro, Shinola, Billy Kirk, Pendelton, Atolyia, Herbivore Botanicals, Jacobsen Salt and more.
Graziani says each item is carefully curated in fit, style, and quality. “The full store will be opening Spring 2015, but we couldn’t wait that long to share it with Cincinnati,” he explains, adding that they’ve partnered with Fern Studio to open a holiday pop-up shop beginning Saturday, Nov. 29 at 1232 Vine St in OTR.
A collection of new goods will be on-hand for the holiday shopping season. Deeper Roots Coffee will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. providing pour-over coffee service, and customers can expect nightly wine tastings while they shop. “Fern Studio will be presenting a curated mix of unique ceramics and flora,” says Graziani.
The Holiday Shoppe will launch Nov. 29 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays in Dec. from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays in Dec. 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
