Origami Owl now offers personalized pet-themed lockets, for people and pets! |
Pets are part of the family, so why not make them a part of your wardrobe, too? That’s what inspired the pet-themed Origami Owl Living Lockets.
Origami Owl Living Lockets (OOLL) is a direct sales company that sells customizable jewelry, and encourages hostesses to throw Jewelry Bars (home parties) where they can earn rewards while their guests create custom looks that fit their style and tell their story.
Launched in January 2012 by Bella Weems, OOLL has been quickly growing ever since. In fact, it currently boasts more than 40,000 independent designers and more than 300 employees.
Local OOLL independent designer, Heather Zimmerman, says she was immediately drawn to the product and business because of the personalization. “I was in search of a unique, personal, meaningful gift for my sister who had just adopted her first child. Origami Owl Living Lockets were just what I was looking for,” she says. “I immediately built one for my sister, myself and my sister-in-law. When the locket for my sister came I fell even more in love. I wanted to share the amazing product line with everyone that I knew.”
Zimmerman eventually became an independent consultant, and made OOLL a business for herself. “Now I am mentoring some amazing women,” she adds, “leading a growing team from all across our country, and sharing the joy of Origami Owl with all my awesome customers.”
While clients have always customized jewelry around family members, sports and activities they love, Zimmerman says pet-themed lockets – for pets and people – are becoming increasingly popular.
“I have animal lovers create lockets all the time,” she explains, “[I] have even helped design lockets for pets over the 21 months I have been with Origami Owl.”
Zimmerman’s idea for Living Lockets specifically designed for pets took off almost instantly with pet lovers across the Tri-State. Origami Owl offers a wide selection of living locket styles for pet owners to choose from to truly let the pet’s personality shine.
“There are three different sized lockets that come in silver, gold, rose-gold, black and chocolate. There are hundreds of charms to choose from! We offer plates and dangles to further customize your look and a selection of chains from short and dainty to bold and beautiful,” she explains. “There is also a gorgeous tagged line with inspirational sayings and accent pieces that can be worked in with your living locket or for a simple statement on their own.”
Zimmerman’s Pet Themed Lockets on average are usually built for around $60 though she does have options in the $30 to $50 range as well. Lockets start out at $20, charms are $5 each, and tagged items range from $8 to 12. Plus, Zimmerman says, the bonus about these living lockets is that they open up, which means you can add additional charms later.
According to Zimmerman, she will be showcasing Origami Owl’s new fall product line and the pet-themed lockets at the Woofapalooza Yappy Hour and Fashion Show on Friday September 27 at Wags Park from 6 to 9 p.m., and you can use the code OWL for free access into the event ($10 value!).
