They say there’s no “I” in “Teamwork,” but the eyes have it in this new collaboration concept.
Cassie Kathman launched The Pretty Pony Boutique, an online boutique, in November 2013. She then launched an apparel line in the spring of 2014, with her sights set on opening a brick-and-mortar store in the future. “After establishing a dedicated following in Northern Kentucky, we decided to explore options in order to open a storefront location,” says Kathman.
Shortly thereafter, Kathman realized that The Lash Boutique, owned by a family friend, seemed to be the perfect complement to her business. The Lash Boutique, which has been in business for over 10 years, is owned by Jamie Hils, licensed managing esthetician, specializing in NOVALash extensions, airbrush tanning, permanent makeup, brow design and facials.
Hils and Kathman discussed a joint venture of opening a brick and mortar location together. They soon realized that, through collaboration, they could provide a wider range of services and products, and therefore bring in more customers by working together. “The Pretty Pony Boutique featuring the Lash Boutique is excited to be bringing a one-of-a-kind experience to Northern Kentucky with our grand opening on Sept. 13, 2014,” says Kathman.
The boutique’s product line is unique and broad and will consist of women and children’s apparel, trendy and affordable jewelry, and local artists’ gifts and crafts. The price points for apparel will range from $20 to $100 and jewelry will range from $10 to $50. “Our goal is to offer affordable fashions for a wide range of shoppers,” says Kathman.
The Lash Boutique offers Novalash Eyelash Extensions, airbrush tanning, facial peels, permanent makeup, brow design and facial waxing, as well as lash and brow tinting.
According to Kathman, The Pretty Pony Boutique featuring the Lash Boutique’s goal is to inspire women to love how they look. “We want every shopper to leave feeling more confident and beautiful than when they came in, without breaking the bank,” says Kathman. “Our shoppers are chic and fashion forward so we strive to cater to their unique styles with the latest trends in the fashion and beauty industries.”
For fall 2014, some of the trends the Pretty Pony Boutique will be featuring include leather detail, pastels, bold floral prints, crochet and lace, staple denim pieces, and, of course, beautiful, statement necklaces.
