Learn about the mother-daughter team behind a new mobile boutique that’s revving up the local fashion scene.

Trouvaille
Trouvaille Traveling Fashion Boutique prides itself on carrying items you won’t find anywhere else.

A Kentucky-based mother-daughter duo has turned a fashion dream into reality. “I thought a mobile boutique business would be refreshing and loved the idea of bringing something similar here to the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area,” says Christine Bezold, co-owner of Trouvaille Traveling Fashion Boutique. “I’ve always had big dreams of owning a boutique business and with the rising cost of opening a brick and mortar store, a mobile boutique just made good sense.”

Bezold says the concept of their mobile boutique is that it’s full of treasures you can’t find anywhere else.

“Trouvaille is a French word meaning lucky find,” she adds. “Our business itself is also somewhat based on the idea of being ‘a lucky find.'”

Trouvaille specializes in clothing and accessories made right here in the United States. It is so important to Trouvaille to buy clothing they feel good about, and have elements of style you can’t find anywhere else.

“We feel there is an overall movement in shopping small and shopping local; from buying groceries at the farmer’s market, purchasing handcrafted items etc. our mobile boutique goes right along with that,” Bezold says.

The style of the boutique merchandise is a generous mix of bohemian and contemporary styles, with emphasis on bright colors and fun patterns. With new arrivals coming in weekly, Trouvaille wants shopping to be fun for everyone, and carries sizes small to 3XL.

Bezold has an extensive past in retail, and draws upon her knowledge of textiles, body types and reading all about upcoming fashion trends when purchasing for the truck. “Our mix of style, colors, and patterns are what sets us apart,” Bezold says. “The prices are affordable, and that goes along with our goal of fashion should be fun. If you like something we want you to feel you’re not breaking the bank to purchase it.”

And because Bezold and her co-owner mother go on buying trips together, selecting things they both like, their merchandise spans a great age range as well. ”When I originally told my mom about the idea, I was thinking of the truck as something I would do on my own,” Bezold says. “However, she loved the idea so much that we quickly decided this would be something great to do together.”

Trouvaille will be out every weekend with private and public bookings through November. Larger events where you can find the truck this summer include: May 15 at Ludlow Bromley Yacht Club; June 24 for Red, Pink, and Blue; July 22 at Cincinnati Fashion Night; July 30 at O.F.F. Market; and November 5 for Cincy Chic’s Seasonably Chic Showcase.

If you’re looking to book a special event, Trouvaille will come to you free of charge. The truck is available for events including bridal showers, girl’s nights, fundraisers, personalized one-on-one shopping, birthdays, and lunch hours.

The truck sends out weekly “Follow the Truck” updates to keep up on where the truck will be parked. Like them on Facebook, or call (859) 991-5526 for more information.
