Catch the (Arts)Wave
Between the business boom downtown, and exciting new offerings at all your local favorites, the Queen City is quite the hoppin’ place.
One way to experience it all (without breaking the bank) is through an ArtsWave ArtsPass, a membership program for ArtsWave donors who give $75 or more to the annual community campaign.
“ArtsPass helps you discover all the amazing arts across our region with special offers and deep discounts to more than 40 arts organizations plus restaurants, shops and the Cincinnati Reds,” explains Rebecca Bromels, Senior Director of Communication and Engagement at ArtsWave. “Meet new friends, have a great date night, or create new family memories while discovering all the arts that make Cincinnati amazing.”
There are more than 40 arts organizations that participate in ArtsPass. These include the Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, The Children’s Theater of Cincinnati, Contemporary Arts Center and more. “You’ll find everything from choir concerts and museum exhibitions to puppet shows and art classes,” says Bromels.
Some of the offers include: Half price tickets for Cincinnati Playhouse In the Park, BOGO tickets at the Contemporary Arts Center and The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, 10% off services at Alba Organic Beauty Studio & Cincy Organic Stylebar, one week of free, unlimited yoga at Bikram Yoga Cincinnati, 10% off at MiCA 12/V, 10% off at 20 Brix, and 10% off food purchase at The Palace Restaurant at the Cincinnatian Hotel.
But the ArtsPass connects you to so much more than just arts. For example, while Broadway in Cincinnati fans enjoy early access to tickets, baseball lovers can enjoy discounted Cincinnati Reds games while foodies dish on discounts at restaurants such as Taste of Belgium, Padrino and Melt that participate in ArtsPass as well as specialty shops such as Park + Vine. You can find a complete list of participating organizations by clicking here.
Here’s how it works, according to Bromels: You donate at least $75 to ArtsWave, you’ll be sent an email with the information you need to log into the ArtsPass website. It’s after receiving this email that you can start browsing offers and choose your favorites. “When you find an offer you like, simply hit the Redeem Now button,” explains Bromels. “An email with redemption instructions is immediately sent.”
ArtsPass members also receive a newsletter twice a month with details on upcoming events and exhibitions so you can stay on top of what’s going on and can find things to do even easier than before. “The newsletter will help you plan ahead so you don’t have to worry about missing anything,” Bromels says. You can also give an ArtsPass tied up with a bow and a sweet chocolate treat for the holidays.
In addition to ArtsPass, ArtsWave also offers another membership program targeted to donors under age 40, called CincYPerks. “You get all the benefits of an ArtsPass membership, plus additional special deals and exclusive invitations to some of the hottest young professional events in the city,” says Bromels. There’s also a young professionals newsletter to keep CincYPerks members in the loop.
