Inspiring Kind

Inspiringkind Boutique Bakery has been satisfying Cincinnati’s sweet tooth since 2008. Using original, handed down family recipes, you’ll find a variety of treats using quality ingredients. You’ll find some unexpected options as well.

When it comes to the inspiration for the bakery, Owner Mary Richmond says that it all started with dream and a cookie. Her dream was to own her own business and the cookie came along when she started to put inspirational quotes on cookies.

Although she originally only made cookies, Richmond now offers cakes, cupcakes and other pastries. Looking for a sweet treat but not in the mood for cake or cookies? Try cheesecake cups that are made to order and come in the following flavors: Plain Jane, Blueberry and Chocolate. Other sweets at Inspiringkind Boutique Bakery include Pecan Pleasures, Lemon Points, Carrot Cake Minis, Oat and berry Bars, Blondies and Lemon Cakes.

“We also specialize in creating events, decorating and baking parties on-site,” explains Richmond.

Inspiringkind Boutique Bakery helps to add a sweet touch to any occasion — such as weddings, bridal and baby showers, birthdays, thank you parties or celebrating the life of a lost loved one. For these events, inspiringkind Boutique Bakery offers cookie (more than 300 shapes available) and cupcake platters in mini, small, medium and large sizes.

They also offer a “Birthday in a Box” option. “They’re great for Girlfriend Gatherings, getaways, picnics, office parties or to take to lunch or dinner,” she explains. “It comes complete with a decorated cake, coordinated plates and napkins, forks, cake knife and candle all wrapped up with a bow in a Birthday Box especially for the birthday guy or gal.”

If you’d like to save the fun of decorating for your own kitchen, inspiringkind offers Cookie or Cupcake Kits. “Our Kits are great for parties, scout troops, the office, picnics or family night,” she says. “It includes everything you need to decorate your own delicious cookies or cupcakes.”

Today, Richmond’s dream business has far exceeded her expectations and she looks forward to the future. “It has been so much work, but I am so happy with what we have put together,” she adds. “It has so many ways of touching people, hence the name ‘inspiring kind.’ We help our customers create something to give to others, resulting in a domino effect.”
