People — what they wear and how they wear it — is what inspired the mother-daughter team of Mary Beth Geroulis and Katie Striebel to launch Lucky Kat, an online women’s clothing and accessory shop featuring fashion-forward street style for the boho chic shopper.
“We love travel, street style, casual, cute and the effortless look, even though it took someone a long time to figure out that your simple outfit looks great together, and on you,” says Striebel.
Hailing from the West Side of Cincinnati, Striebel and her mother launched Lucky Kat in 2011. Back then, they only offered handmade accessories. Then, in 2014, they launched the website shopluckykat.com and began offering a full collection of clothing and accessories.
Today, their fun passion project is a booming business carrying a wide range of boutique-style clothing, outerwear, jewelry, handmade accessories, scarves and handbags with price points that range from $24 to $68.

In discussing what it is that makes Lucky Kat unique, Striebel says that it’s their sense of style. “We love to put outfits together so that when you are shopping Lucky Kat you can get the whole look right from our website,” she says.
In an effort to reach more customers, Lucky Kat will now be offering the opportunity to host a private Lucky Kat Trunk Show for a girls’ night out. Striebel says you can email kat@shopluckykat.com for more information.
Striebel says that Lucky Kat is always trying to schedule as many events locally as possible. “You can always find us at the City Flea at Washington Park and The Holiday Market at the Convention Center,” she adds.
