Cincy Chic: What is Bow Tie Cafe?
Dhani Jones, Co-Founder of Bow Tie Cafe: Bow Tie Cafe is a charming coffeehouse and wine bar serving the finest Intelligentsia coffee and espresso drinks as well as fine wines, craft beer, and cocktails and casual bistro fare including breakfast, lunch, pastries, and snacks.
Cincy Chic: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Jones: I co-founded Bow Tie Cafe in 2010 alongside Caveh Azadeh and NiKo Grammas. My love for Bow Ties manifested when my friend Kunta Littlejohn told me, “If you wanna be somebody, you gotta rock a bow tie.” Then, when Kunta was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma I launched Bow Tie cafe and Bow Tie Cause, which raises money for charities such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Recently, Dylan Sears joined our team as General Manager. He’s been a long-time fixture at Bow Tie and has worked alongside his mother, Heather Turner, who was our previous general manager and helped build Bow Tie Cafe into what it is today.
Cincy Chic: What can readers find on the menu at Bow Tie Cafe?
Jones: We carefully craft all the traditional coffee and espresso drinks as well as seasonal flavored lattes, organic teas, and whole fruit smoothies. We also have a full bar with classic cocktails and brunch favorites.
Cincy Chic: Where is Bow Tie Cafe located?
Jones: We are in the heart of Mt. Adams at 1101 St. Gregory Street.
Cincy Chic: What are your hours?
Jones: We’re open Monday through Friday from 7am to 8pn and Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 8pm.
