Ashton Cooper, Partner at Glenmar CPAs: Glenmar CPAs is a family and women-owned tax & accounting firm that serves small businesses, individuals, trusts, and estates.

Cincy Chic: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Cooper: Both of our partners began their careers at top 5 accounting firms. The large firm experience provided exposure to a diverse client base, however, each of them quickly developed a passion for small businesses and individuals. Since then, they have spent a combined total of over 25 years providing tax and accounting services, specializing in a wide variety of topics and industries. A continued desire to connect with and assist these types of clients inspired them to form Glenmar CPAs.

Cooper: Tax preparation, tax planning, bookkeeping, and consulting 

Cincy Chic: What makes your business unique? 
Cooper: We believe that when you hire a CPA, it should be a relationship, not a transaction. Rather than only hearing from our clients when tax season rolls around, our goal is to form a relationship that enables us to provide understandable and individualized advice so that our clients can make informed business and personal decisions year-round.

Cincy Chic: Is there anything new on the horizon?
Cooper: Glenmar recently became the MORTAR Covington CPA partner. This program focuses on providing resources and support to entrepreneurs from historically underserved populations. The first cohort is made up of entirely women-owned businesses – which are some of our favorite clients to work with.
