Karen Frecker and her best friend Chrissy McAlister met at Good Samaritan Nursing School. There, they began talking about one day starting a business together. Then, after both became moms, they were inspired with a unique business concept.

Today, they co-own CK Education and Training, which offers specialized education and training for daycare providers, schools, and businesses who are in need of healthcare education and specialized training.

CK Education and Training offers health education classes on CPR, First Aid, child abuse and much more, according to Frecker. “We are an official training center for the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI),” she adds. “Certification trainings follow the curriculums mandated by either the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, ASHI and/or Ped Facts.

The Instructors at CK Education and Training are certified through the American Red Cross, American Heart Association and ASHI. “We offer on site private training and flexible hours including evenings and weekends,” explains Frecker. “Our offerings follow the recommended guidelines from the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services for in-service hour requirements.”

Frecker and McAlister are flexible, so they can arrange to come to your business or meet at another location to teach the classes on days, evenings and weekends.”This is a great business for us since it is flexible with our family and work schedules,” explains Frecker, who has a son and a daughter while McAlister has four boys.

What makes CK Education and Training unique is that they teach the classes while also making them fun and exciting. “We keep updated on any new health trends and are always incorporating any new updates into all of our classes,” says Frecker.

The price of a class varies depending on the size and what courses you want to take. To learn more about CK Education and Training, visit their website or email info@ckeducationandtraining.com.
