What if you could lose weight while still enjoying the restaurants you love? Weight Loss Health Coach Amanda Bentley is working to make that possible.
She is a Certified Health Coach through the MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education (COPE) in the College of Nursing at Villanova University. “I take my career and my clients’ health serious. I coach people who struggle on their own to lose weight, get healthy, and maintain it,” she explains.
Maintaining a healthy lifestyle has always come natural to Bentley. However, knowing that’s not the case for everyone, she became motivated to help people learn how to lose weight and keep it off with a healthy eating and lifestyle choices.
“Since obesity is a disease and not just considered an epidemic insurance may cover a nutritionist and health coach to help you get on a right track,” explains Bentley.
Bentley specializes in weight loss and weight management while also working with clients dealing with health problems such as diabetes and high blood pressure. Her goal is to coach people on how to lose weight and keep it off so they can get to ultimate health. She provides coaching and meal replacements called Medifast lean (protein) and green (non-starch veggies). “The prepackaged meals are the right portions containing high protein and fiber,” she adds.
Nine months ago, Bentley started with Take Shape For Life fueled by Medifast which provides high-quality, medically formulated meal replacements combined with free coaching support to help you lose weight and keep it off. It is not a diet, but a two-phased approach for weight loss and maintenance. The meals are affordable, says Bentley, and usually less expensive than your monthly food bill. You will receive the first two months at a special rate, she adds, and the food will be delivered to your door free of charge.
In the first phase of this rapid form of weight loss you will use Medifast portion-controlled meal replacements to lose 2-5 pounds per week for the first two weeks and 1-2 pounds per week thereafter, without surgery or medications. Throughout the program Bentley is a guide providing on-going personal coaching and support. She will help you build up the knowledge, skills, and support you need to realize health and help keep you focused on your long-term goals.
Once your weight loss goal has been reached, you will then transition into the maintenance plan. This will allow you to utilize your new healthy habits to support and maintain weight maintenance like a workout routine and eating breakfast daily. “I will be a mentor, friend, educator and coach throughout this process,” says Bentley. “I want you to lose the weight and keep it off to get to the ultimate health.”
To make maintenance easier for her clients, Bentley is teaming up with local businesses. Partnering with Snap Fitness, Bentley will help coach clients on nutrition and personal training needs. Working with Roca Cafe in Covington Ky., Bentley helped to create a lighter option menu. “I provide health coaching, Medifast meal replacements, tools, guides, and assistance to help people lose weight,” she says.”I’ve teamed up with [Roca] to provide a menu of five meals that offer a great lean and green option for those already on my program – or looking for healthy options – other than burgers, etc.”
