Victory Wellness & Medspa: Hair Removal

Victory Wellness & Medspa: Hair Removal

by -

Our Editor-in-Chic chats with Dr. Kerschner of Victory Wellness & Medspa to learn about their unique hair removal services and why they’re proving to be more effective.

Victory Wellness & Medspa has more than just weight loss programs and other cosmetic procedures, they also offer hair removal. What makes the hair removal procedure from Victory Wellness & Medspa so unique is that they use a different kind of laser – they use a BBL laser for hair removal.

“The laser in our office uses a more diffused heat than typical laser,” says Dr. Kerschner. “Therefore, the laser is able to target more hair follicles and ultimately gives you better results.”

The hair removal treatment from Victory Wellness & Medspa is also a lot less painful than other procedures like the traditional Brazilian hair removal procedure. “We have had many people come in worried that it will hurt like their previous hair removal procedures, and they have it done in the office and say that it was nothing – not even a discomfort,” she adds. “Even those with the lowest pain tolerance can handle it.”

The main areas people have treated when they come into the office are the face, where there is sometimes hair around the chin, underarms, Brazilian, and legs. Men also come into the office to have hair removed on their chest or back. “Anywhere there is a dark hair, we can treat it,” says Dr. Kerschner.

The procedure can take anywhere from 5-15 minutes, depending on what area of the body you’re having treated. Most people typically need 3-5 treatments up front to have the hair removed. Sometimes, says Dr. Kerschner, those are the only treatments you need, but often the hair does come back a little as fine hair so you’ll want to get a touch-up. There is essentially no downtime, so you don’t have to worry about being down and out for any amount of time.
