To promote her upcoming appearance at Kenwood to promote her fragrance LOVELY, and her forthcoming Sex and the City (SATC) movie, we got this exclusive interview* with Sarah Jessica Parker. Enjoy!

Cincy Chic: You’re originally from Cincinnati. Do you miss your loved ones here?
Sarah Jessica Parker:
Things change, so do cities. People come into your life and they go. But it’s comforting to know that the ones you love are always in your heart…and if you’re very lucky, a plane ride away.

Cincy Chic: What’s your opinion of Graeter’s ice cream?
Parker:
Every once in awhile, a girl has to indulge herself.

Cincy Chic: We know your SATC character, Carrie Bradshaw, wrote a sex column. What advice do you think she’d give to the single ladies out there?
Parker:
Maybe some women aren’t meant to be tamed. Maybe they just need to run free til they find someone just as wild to run with them.

Cincy Chic: What advice would Carrie give to women just coming out of a relationship?
Parker:
As we drive along this road called life, occasionally a gal will find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda, buckle up and just keep going.

Cincy Chic: What’s the best relationship advice of all time?
Parker:
There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.

Cincy Chic: It’s tax season. Do you have any tips for our readers?
Parker
: I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.

Cincy Chic: We know your SATC character loves shoes, but in light of this being the last week of our ugliest handbag contest, we want to know what Carrie would say about handbags?
Parker:
Balls are to men what purses are to women.

Cincy Chic: Today is Opening Day in Cincinnati. What do you and the SATC girls think of baseball?
Parker:
Miranda was a huge fan of the Yankees. I was a huge fan of being anywhere you could smoke and drink at two in the afternoon without judgment.

*April Fools! All of the above SJP answers are really quotes taken from various episodes of SATC. But no worries, SJP fans, we’ll make it up to you by giving away 30 free SATC movie screening passes next week here on Cincy Chic. Stay tuned!
