There are two ends of the spectrum when it comes to meeting the man of your dreams. It’s either the smoky bar or the buttoned-up church singles club.

But one organization, Jewish Singles Together Around The River (JStar), is finding a happy medium as they celebrate Israel’s birthday.

They have regular outings such as speed dating, bowling and retreats. But their biggest event is on May 8, for Isreal’s big birthday bash. This year, the densely populated event featured ethnic food booths, Israeli wine and beer, The Idan Raichel Project and other local worldbeat bands, such as:

According to the JStar Web site, the organization is “a group of single (and almost single) Jews in our 20s, 30s, and 40s in the greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky/Southeast Indiana area.”
