Call for Entries: Local Women Interested in Complete Makeover

Each December, Americans make resolutions in the hope of making positive life changes in the New Year. But unfortunately, half of those resolutions are abandoned by the end of January, according to eHow.com.

But now, there’s a unique way for local women to keep their resolutions, thanks to Cincy Chic, the only online lifestyle publication for women in Greater Cincinnati.

“We’re currently looking for women who want to make a big change in their lives,” says Amy Storer-Scalia, CEO and Publisher of Cincy Chic. “From that pool of people, we’ll select three and we’ll feature them in editorial throughout 2009.”

The three winners will be profiled in Cincy Chic’s Jan. 5, 2009 “Resolutions” issue so readers can learn exactly what these women wish to accomplish in the New Year. In addition, the winners will blog on www.cincychic.com at least once a month to keep readers informed about their progress. And lastly, Cincy Chic will do a “Makeover” issue on these women on Dec. 14, 2009 to recap their year-long road to a resolution and show their before and after photos.

“Not only is this a way to get a free makeover, it’s also an incredibly effective way to keep a resolution,” says Storer-Scalia. “Our readers will keep these winners motivated and hold them accountable to accomplish all the resolutions they set out to conquer.”

Deadline for entries is Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. Nominees can nominate themselves or be nominated by someone else, as long as the nominee is a willing participant. Visit www.cincychic.com/makeover to enter to win. The three winners will be notified on Dec. 15 and will be publicly announced on Jan. 5 on www.cincychic.com.
