Everyday Inspiration: You Are Never Unemployed
You have always possessed the most amazing, most rewarding, meaningful job, from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to sleep. There was never a time in your life where you lost it or were off, could take a vacation from it or could try to lose it. You have had this same job ever since you can remember, only it may appear different as time moves on. There is never a paycheck, nor an unyielding, unforgiving boss. There aren’t any deadlines or meetings. Your purpose has always been and will continue to be the same.
1. To acknowledge and see who you really are. To carry with you throughout the day, blessing and changing everything you encounter along the way.
2. To own your divinity. Reminding others that they too are imperfectly perfect. There was never anything to fix because nothing was broken. You were made to be just how you are today and this is your greatest contribution you could ever make.
You see, your to-do list, the errands and the seemingly endless list of tasks and problems you face each day are all just a façade. They seem demanding, irritating and mundane at times but that’s all. You feel you must get through and check them off one by one, before you can begin to pay attention and do what’s really important. This is an illusion until the next set of tasks present themselves. Of course, that will never happen. Your To Do list was never meant to get done. The problems will never cease. This is why you are here: not to GET through these tasks but to LET these tasks shape you.
Your everyday actions allow you to display kindness, compassion and connection in ways that are profound. Are you grocery shopping today? Filing papers? Cleaning tables? Pumping gas? Picking up kids from school? Making phone calls? This is your service to the world today. This is your Sacred Contract with everyone who is presented to you in that moment. This is the kind of meaningful employment that you have been searching for and the kind that has eluded you for some time.
You have the potential to interact and be present in your life today. It doesn’t matter what you are doing. When you are tapped in, tuned in and turned on into the possibilities of your life, you realize that life is what is around you NOW.
Are you looking into the eyes of the one in front of you? Really listening to the sounds around you? Taking the time to listen, feel and be Present, giving in to the part of you that wants to Be there. That’s when you bring YOU to what you are doing.
Haven’t you ever been in the presence of someone who was doing something seemingly mundane, like a traffic cop or a cashier, but doing it with passion and presence? There is nothing better.

You have the potential to elevate those around you through what you are doing by merely bringing your Presence to it. When you do, an ordinary act becomes Extraordinary. So whether you are standing in line at Target, cooking dinner, driving in your car, We all have the potential to heal others through service.
This is why you will never be unemployed. Treat yourself with reverence. For you are Divine. When you are able to see it in yourself, you will be able to bring it with you wherever you go. It will shine on and change everything you do. When you bring this Presence to what you are doing right now, you are bringing the perfection of Who You Really Are to life.
Life isn’t going to be full of grandstand ticker tape moments. Life is right now. It’s the errands, the TO DO list and the problems you encounter everyday. It’s all of the thousands of ways presented to you to remind others that they have the same job too.
