Art on Tap: A Craft Brew Event

The arts are an integral part of a child’s education, but it isn’t something everyone has access to. That’s why the mission of The Arts Alliance is to provide Greater Cincinnati with art education and cultural awareness. To help extend this awareness to the general public, The Arts Alliance is hosting its first Art on Tap: A Craft Brew Event.

This fundraising event will benefit The Art Alliance’s Take pART Initiative, and will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Performance Lexus at the Kings Automall. Money raised provide the opportunity for kids to attend summer art camps and arts programs throughout the year.

According to Meredith Raffel, Executive Director at The Arts Alliance, the event was designed to create something fun that would speak to a broader audience. “We wanted to include various elements that will enable guests to have a great time, enjoy great food, music and art, all while helping to support the arts in the community,” she says.

Event attendees will enjoy beers from Dogberry Brewery as well as art and other auction items including growlers, adds Raffel.

The cost of a “Onesie” ticket is $25 and includes admission for one person, or you can get a TwoFer ticket for $40. Admission to the event includes four tastings from Cincinnati’s newest up-and-coming brewery, two wine, water or soda tickets, great food and live entertainment brought to you by Blue Night Jazz Band. In addition, Phil Nuxhall will be the Master of Ceremonies for Art on Tap.

“Guests will also be abel to participate in a silent auction, showcasing the work of the FallFair Arts Festival artists as well as an “Art Bar” to have some of their own creative fun,” says Raffel.

Also, Raffel adds, guests should keep an eye out for The Arts Alliance “live public art” as the Craft Girls make their way through the crowd. Hair and makeup designer Brandon Riley will be there to help transform young ladies into dragonflies and butterflies.
