Cincy Chic: What’s the inspiration behind hosting monthly wellness events at Baker Chiropractic?
Tom Liebrecht, Marketing Consultant for Baker Chiropractic and Wellness: Baker Chiropractic and Wellness hosts a wide variety of events each month. These events correlate directly with our mission to educate and inspire people of all ages and all walks of life to live healthy and happy lives as well as the importance of taking control of their personal health in order to get out of pain, avoid illness, prevent disease and dependence on prescription medications.
Cincy Chic: Can you share some of your upcoming events with us?
Liebrecht: The events we have scheduled for the remainder of February and first of March include (these are all FREE events):
Recipe Nights: We have Recipe Nights scheduled on the evenings of February 17th, 18th and 26th. These are really fun events that show people how healthy recipes are not only good for you but also delicious! We talk about how to shop for healthy foods, how to prepare healthy meals and how to fit healthy choices into a busy lifestyle. Participants of these events are asked to select from a list of recipes we have at each clinic location, then prepare the recipe and bring it with them to the Recipe Night. These events are a great way to learn, meet people and sample some great new (and healthy) dishes.
Shop with the Doc: On February 19th from 7 PM – 8 PM, we are having a “Shop with the Doc” (doctor) event at Whole Foods Market in Rookwood Plaza. This is an opportunity for people to learn how to shop healthy by visiting a local market with one of our doctors. The group tours the supermarket and learns things like what foods to buy, what foods to avoid, how to read labels, etc.
Max T3 Exercise Class with a Certified Personal Trainer: Every Wednesday evening at 5:30PM and every Saturday at 10:30AM we offer the Max T3 exercise class with certified personal trainer Nathan Taylor. The class is held at our West Chester Clinic location on Wednesday evenings and CrossFit Mason on Saturday mornings. Not many people can afford a personal trainer. This is a great way for people to take advantage of having a personal trainer show them how to exercise properly using the cutting edge Max T3 program.
Total Food Makeover Event: On Saturday, March 1st, Dr. Paul Baker and Dr. Matt Finke from Baker Chiropractic and Wellness will be offering people another opportunity to attend our highly popular Total Food Makeover event. In this 2 hour informative workshop, people are taught about proper nutrition and how it has such a huge impact on your life. The workshop shows how lifestyle changes can prevent and reverse disease; it busts myths about fad diets with facts, and shows people how to implement a practical nutrition plan into their lives that produces results.
Half Hour to Health: We spent nearly two years making a 30-minute video that shows people how to get out of pain, get of prescription medications and get on the road to health and happiness. The video is titled Half Hour to Health and can be viewed via the following link: http://www.bakerchiropractic.org/half-hour-to-health/.
4th Edition of Book: “Enlightening, Adjusting and Saving Lives”: In March, Dr. Paul Baker and Dr. Patrick Baker will be publishing the 4th Edition of their popular book, Enlightening, Adjusting and Saving Lives. The book is filled with 55 chapters of stories from patients who came to Baker Chiropractic looking for answers for all types of pain and health conditions and found those answers. These real-life stories were submitted directly by patients over the last 20 years and compiled into what is now the 4th Edition of the book.
Cincy Chic: What about your Weekly Health Talks?
Liebrecht: Weekly Health Talks: We understand people have questions when it comes to chiropractic care and how it can address specific health conditions. Each week, we offer Free Health Talks so people can ask their specific questions, get answers and listen to other people ask their questions. This gives them the information they need to make decisions about their health care.
Weekly Health Talks are held as follows: Red Bank Rd. Clinic Health Talk – Every Monday at 7:00 PM Fairfield Clinic Health Talk – Every Monday at 7:00 PM West Chester Clinic Health Talk – Every Tuesday at 7:00 PM Madeira Clinic Health Talk – Every Wednesday at 6:30 PM
Cincy Chic: What have been some of the responses to the events?
Liebrecht: Amanda Grow attended one of our Total Food Makeover Events from last year and said, “Since attending the Baker Chiropractic Total Food Makeover seminar in February 2013 and slowly implementing the nutrition and fitness guidelines that were provided, I have lost 40 pounds. And I’m still losing!”
Cincy Chic: Where can readers go to learn more about upcoming events at Baker Chiropractic?
Liebrecht: Additional details about all these events listed above and future events can be found on the Baker Chiropractic and Wellness website calendar
