Cincy Chic: Tell us more about Curvy Cuties’ Boutique!
Denyia Gott, Owner and Operator: I’m the proud, full-figured owner and operator of Curvy Cuties’ Boutique. A little more than three years ago, I found myself wanting more out of life – a more meaningful way of helping others and connecting with women in a way that hadn’t been done before. The idea for a plus size boutique came to me out of necessity. I knew if I needed and couldn’t find plus size resale, then every full-figured gal in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky needed it too. The rest is a life-changing journey that’s given my life the meaning I was desperately looking for.

Inside Curvy Cuties’ Boutique |
Cincy Chic: Where is the boutique located?
Denyia: Curvy Cuties’ Boutique is conveniently located at 740 Lila Avenue in Milford. I grew up there and loved that I could get just about anywhere in the Tri-State in less than 25 minutes. When I made the decision to open the store, I kept that in mind. No one wants to go too far out of their way to get a great value when shopping, so putting the boutique in a centrally-located area was a must.
Cincy Chic: When did you open the boutique and what inspired you to get into the business?
Denyia: My dream of owning and opening an exclusively plus-sized resale clothing store became a reality on December 9, 2011. During the last two years, I’ve met with hundreds of customers that I can say with certainty are now my friends. Everyone goes into business to make a living for themselves and I am not different, but I cherish every customer that has not only come to shop at the boutique but has taken the time to visit again and again. For me, that’s the definition of success and I know I am doing something right.
I’m often asked what inspired me to open the store and it’s because I am a plus-size woman. I know what it feels like to be ignored by the fashion industry and to compromise style and fit for what you can find in your size. I know how it feels to be told fashion isn’t for you – but they’re wrong. I love my curves and my customers love theirs. Being able to show off your body with confidence is beautiful and sexy. Things are really heating up for curvy girls all over Cincinnati and shops dedicated to the plus-size customer have arrived, something I for one am very excited about.
Cincy Chic: What makes you different from other boutiques in the Tri-State?
Denyia: Curvy Cuties’ Boutique is Milford’s premier resale shopping experience exclusively for plus-sized ladies. We feature affordable, brand-new and gently used clothing sizes 14W and up, jewelry, shoes and accessories from the best closets in Cincinnati. Being a curvy cutie myself, I understand the special needs of the fuller figured client. As a shopper, you will discover a new way to stretch your fashion dollar and not be limited to styles from just one store. Resale shopping is a win-win for everyone – you pay a fraction of what you’d pay in retail and feel great doing it. When you come to Curvy Cuties’ Boutique, you’ll feel comfortable from the second you walk into the store. You’ll be greeted by me and shown around briefly to get familiar. After that, I’m here to only help you. You won’t be followed around and pressured into a purchase that you’re not going to be 100 percent satisfied with. Buying resale does not mean you should have to sacrifice quality, comfort or style.
Cincy Chic: What are types of styles do you offer?
Denyia: Every person has their own style. Variety is the spice of life, so shopping one location with so much to choose from makes sense. I feel I am very fashion forward, but what I like in fashion isn’t what everyone will like. I love being able to offer so much variety in sizes hard to find to all of my customers.
Cincy Chic: Is there anything new on the horizon for the business?
Denyia: The future of Curvy Cuties’ Boutique is brighter than ever. As many of my customers know, I’ve already outgrown the space I’m in and that can only mean two things – moving and growing.I am looking forward to being able to offer all-season inventory all the time as well as a bridal and formal section in the boutique. Frequenty buyer “Cutie Cash” is coming soon too.
Cincy Chic: Where can readers go to learn more or visit your store?
