Kelly Dragoo and Kelly Murphy,
owners of Eden Floral Boutique
Cincy Chic: How long have you two been in the floral industry?
Kelly Dragoo and Kelly Murphy, owners of Eden Floral Boutique: We have been in the floral industry for 15 years.
Cincy Chic: When did you decide to join forces as Eden Floral?
Dragoo and Murphy: We created Eden Floral Boutique three years ago, starting in January 2009.
Cincy Chic: When did you move to your Over the Rhine space?
Dragoo and Murphy: We bought the Germania building two and a half years ago and rent the seven other commercial units to various companies. We are huge supporters of OTR and proud building owners in an area filled with historic treasures new and old.
Cincy Chic: You’re much more than just florists – you also rent your space out, as well as hold your own events for learning and networking purposes, correct?
Dragoo and Murphy: We do hold floral workshops and rent Eden’s space for charity events, private parties and special events.
Cincy Chic: What’s next on the Eden Floral horizon?
Dragoo and Murphy: We are working on updating our website with the designers at PB&J, working towards continued growth and name recognition within the Tri-State area as a leading creative force for weddings, everyday deliveries, special events and convention center events.
Cincy Chic: This is for our bridal issue – so, what’s your best piece of advice for today’s bride?
Dragoo and Murphy: Our best advice would be to stay true to yourself and design your wedding to fit with your innate style and vision.
