Chic Spotlight: The Queen Bee “Bee-you-tique”

Cincy Chic: Tell us more about Bee-you-tique and Queen Bee Half Marathon, the newest additions to the Flying Pig Marathon!
Iris Simpson-Bush, Executive Director of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon: This is the first fall event that the Flying Pig Marathon is managing. The Marathon powered by P&G is a year-round charity and community partner in Greater Cincinnati, and we wanted to add another event that will help our charity partners use yet another of the Flying Pig events to raise money for their causes.

Cincy Chic: What will be offered to those who participate in the Bee-you-tique and Queen Bee Half Marathon?
Simpson-Bush: The Queen Bee Half Marathon is a female-themed half marathon (with a shorter event also offered the same day) full of fun, food and pampering for those who enter! While it’s a serious event, there is a whimsical theme to it and we know our entrants will be excited about getting into the ‘Bee’ theme of the day.

Cincy Chic: When and where will the expo be held?
Simpson-Bush: The Queen Bee “Bee-you-tique” will be held Friday, October 10, the day before the Queen Bee, at Horseshoe Casino and we’ll feature health, fitness and wellness booths as well as a fashion show of activewear and leisure wear.
