Girl’s Night Out at Jimmy G’s

Jimmy G’s restaurant, with its black granite floors, red wood paneling, leather-bound booths, and scent of freshly grilled dry-aged steaks filling the air, is the perfect setting for “Mad Men.” But it’s not the men they’re focusing on with their newly launched “Girl’s Night Out” event series.

“Women and men alike enjoy the beautiful bar and lounge area and live music on the weekends, and the Girl’s Night Out night will help women feel even more welcome at Jimmy G’s,” says Kim Sheridan, Jimmy G’s PR representative.

The restaurant opened in December 2011 at 435 Elm Street downtown. And now, every Thursday, Jimmy G’s has “Girl’s Night Out” from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. where ladies can enjoy $6 Prosecco, Cava and Champagne by the glass, and $7 French Martinis, Kir Royal and White Peach Bellinis. According to Sheridan, Jimmy G’s namesake, Chef Jimmy Gibson, also put together a delectable menu of Girl’s Night Bites, all for $5 each, including:

Tuna Tartare & Caviar

White Truffled 4 Fat Fries

Seasonal Chutney, Wood Grilled Crostini

Make Me a Sammich

Why a night around Prosecco? “It’s actually Cava, Champagne AND Prosecco,” explains Sheridan, “because Jimmy G’s wants women to feel like they don’t need an occasion to toast to a good time.”

What’s new on the horizon for Jimmy G’s? Sheridan says its delectable Girls’ Night Bites will continue to evolve as women provide feedback. “He actually surveyed women on his personal Facebook page to get insights on what women were looking for prior to putting this menu together and received hundreds of responses,” explains Sheridan.
