If you like to bring lots of local love to the table, then Sacred Earth Farms is the place to find it. The local co-op-owned and operated farm and market maintains its focus on building community, sustainability and localism.
Located in Kenwood, at 8710 Kenwood Road, the mission of Sacred Earth Farms is to work with local farmers and skilled workers to bring those living in the Tri-State a place to go to turn to healthy goods and services.
Together, Sacred Earth Farms is owned by Douglas Byrd, Tomas Englert and Michael Woeste. The three work together to make their business a family-fun distribution center that offers the best local and non-GMO food products. Additionally, they’re proud to offer up their expertise for those who are seeking ways to make their homes more environmentally-friendly and to help with design project needs.
Sacred Earth Farms most recently opened a year-round farmers market last fall. At the market, located in the heart of Kenwood, there are local chemical-free products and services to benefit families.
In addition to the local produce and farmer’s market, Sacred Earth Farms also provides educational classes including Permacultural Design, Juicing and Smoothie Classes, Garden Walks, Wild Edible Walks, Flower Arrangements, “How to Make Your Own Terrarium” and Beekeeping.
