Joey Zembrodt and Dustin Amrine have never lived ordinary lives. The two, who currently live in Over-the-Rhine, are aspiring chefs, Dustin is a former fashion model, and they’re both world travelers – so to share their own life experiences they launched men’s lifestyle blog Dress Dine Dash.
“While the discussion of a blog has been thrown around for years, we did not anticipate having this much fun with it,” says Amrine.
In addition to sharing their own experiences on Dress Dine Dash, whether it be daily adventures, world travels, or tasty new recipes, Amrine and Zembrodt also wanted to inspire others to break out of their norms.
Zembrodt says that when the two aren’t working at their day jobs, you can find them making dinner while catching up on The Real Housewives, trying out a new local restaurant, or walking their dogs Stella and Marlo around town.
“We never pass up a glass (or bottle) or wine or an excuse to getaway and experience something or some place new,” adds Amrine.
The focus of Dress Dine Dash is style, food, and travel inspiration through creative photography as well as self-portrayal. Content coverage on Dress Dine Dash includes, according to Zembrodt and Amrine:
- Dress: Our everyday style, favorite looks, and closet additions;
- Dine: What we might be making at home or our go-to spots around town; and
- Dash: Where we have been or places we are visiting around the world.
In the time since Amrine and Zembrodt launched Dress Dine Dash, they’ve got a good collection of favorite posts.
“Some of our personal favorite shots are the style ‘flatlays’ and extended posts are from travel,” says Amrine. “The flatlays seem to be taking Instagram by storm and have been fun to assemble!”
For these shots, the guys said they take a complete outfit for that day and neatly arrange it on the floor. “It sounds a little odd until you see one, but it has been a great way to share our style and there is a huge community of fellow flatlayers,” says Zembrodt.
The travel posts are another favorite for the two gentlemen. “Travel posts obviously provide not only amazing photos, but some perspective on our recent adventures,” says Amrine. “Unfortunately, work tends to get in the way of more frequent travel!”
Zembrodt and Amrine both say they are looking forward to the future of Dress Dine Dash as well as blogging in general. “We are most excited for future collaborations with other local bloggers,” says Zembrodt.
While they admit that they’re still learning the ropes behind running a lifestyle blog, they love sharing ideas and reaching out to collaborate with local shops and restaurants in Cincinnati.
“We really want to not only share the amazing things our city has to offer, but also to inspire others to try or explore something new, whether it’s an outfit, recipe, or destination,” says Amrine.
